Mesa Çengelköy Residences

Üsküdar, Istanbul

The Mesa Çengelköy residence was shaped by a design approach that considers living spaces not only through function but through atmosphere. Architectural lines, artworks, curated objects and bespoke furniture were brought together as parts of a single composition, so that the space forms a strong sense of unity within itself.

Natural stone surfaces, dark timber textures and warm metallic accents — together with layers of lighting used at different scales — deepen the space. As the light shifts through the day it casts changing reflections across the surfaces, while each volume takes on a calm identity that preserves its own atmosphere.

The soft transitions and curved forms favoured throughout the project balance the harder geometries, giving the living spaces a more fluid spatial experience. Every detail was treated as a natural extension of design decisions that support how the space is lived in, rather than merely creating a visual accent.
