The Story of a Name

Founder’s Manifesto

Asked “what is your favourite colour?”, most people answer blue.

My own story begins with a small contradiction.

Since childhood I have been allergic to blue pigment. Perhaps that is why I never saw blue as merely a colour.

In time I realised that the blue I was looking for was not on walls or in fabrics; it was in balanced light, in natural textures, in plain materials and in spaces that do not tire you.

The name Mavi Detay was born of that thought.

For us, blue is not a colour palette; it is a design approach that stands for calm, simplicity and timelessness.

Blue is not a colour you see; it is a detail you feel.

Our philosophy

We design experience, not just space

Every project begins with the same question: how will the person who lives or works in this space feel here?

For us, design is not only plans and materials. It begins with understanding the rhythm of a space, the movement of light and the flow of daily life. Every decision shapes the experience of use as much as the way things look.

Whether it is a home, a workplace or a commercial space, our aim is not simply to design places that look good, but to create environments that gain value over time.

Our design approach — the process

Every project starts with its own requirements, but our approach does not change. We listen, research, develop and build with care. We work through the design process in four stages.

01

Listening & Sensing

Every space has a rhythm of its own. We make no design decision before understanding the people who will use it, their habits and the way they live.

02

Concept & Atmosphere

Material, light and texture are not merely aesthetic elements; they are the means by which the character of a space is formed. Every decision is shaped around a single atmosphere.

03

Construction & Craft

Good design is completed by good execution. We follow through on how each detail is realised on site and manage every stage with the same care.

04

Handover & Continuity

Handing over a project does not end the relationship. We know that the spaces we design go on being part of people’s lives, and we stay alongside the process when needed.
